Responsibilities:
Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility prior to appointments and procedures Process insurance prior authorizations claims ensure accurate and timely submission Resolve any authorizations discrepancies or denials Collaborate with healthcare providers to gather necessary documentation for insurance authorizations Stay updated on changes in insurance policies, coding guidelines, and industry regulations Provide assistance to patients in understanding their insurance benefits and coverage Handle insurance-related inquiries and provide exceptional customer service to patients Maintain patient records and insurance information accurately and confidentially Ability to establish the financial obligation for the patients out of pocket based on insurance coverage Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent Proven experience working as a Medical Insurance Specialist or in a similar role In-depth knowledge of medical billing, coding, and insurance claim procedures Familiarity with various insurance plans, including private, Medicare, and Medicaid Proficiency in using medical billing software and electronic health records (EHR) systems Excellent understanding of medical terminology and coding systems (e.
